More Than Strangers

(Safe Harbor, Book 1)

Written by Tara Quan

Genre: Romance, Suspense

Book Synopsis

A desert passion, reluctant lovers, and the memory of a night they can never forget. The first book in Tara Quan’s Safe Harbor series, More Than Strangers is a suspenseful ride that will keep you turning the pages of this sizzling, contemporary romance.

Scorching desert heat, ice-cold champagne, and a world of opulence—the perfect setting for a one-night stand. Certain they will never meet again, two strangers agree to casual, no-strings sex that turns into something more.

Jason Reynolds has his life mapped out, and it doesn’t include a smart-mouthed redhead on a mission to save the world. A security specialist at the top of his game, he is on the cusp of wealth and power. Love is a distraction he simply can’t afford.

Struggling to bury memories of an unforgettable night, Nulli O’Hara chases her dream to a city fraught with violence and death. Six months later, she becomes a kidnapping target, and Jason is the man sent to keep her safe.

More Than Strangers charts the journey of two reluctant lovers from the sands of the Middle East to the slums of South Asia. In a perilous world more exotic than fantasy, Jason and Nulli must fight to live and see their happily ever after.

Belinda F.'s Review

More Than Strangers by Tara Quan is a contemporary suspense novel including high action, danger and plenty of romance. It promised to be a page turner and it didn't disappoint.

The two central characters are Jason Reynolds, a kick ass high level security detail with the body to match the job description. He's a self confessed 'player' with a kinky streak and a liking for no strings attached sex. Nulli O'Hara is the beautiful red headed heiress committed to her own life mission who changes all that.

After a one night stand of phenomenal casual sex the two go their separate ways both determined to remain single and unattached. However life is never that simple and they can't seem to quite forget each other. When Nulli becomes a kidnap target and Jason is the man sent in to guard her sparks fly between them immediately. Seeing each other in danger is all it takes to ignite more than just a sexual attraction and force them both to reconsider their life plans.

More Than Strangers is fast paced and well written. The danger feels real and on more than one occasion I found myself holding my breath. It's a relatively short and easy read with strong characters and a good story line.
